What's in store for you: Explore cutting-edge trends and best practices in the field of book access. Engage in interactive professional development sessions and discuss program initiatives. Learn innovative strategies to extend the reach of your organization.

AGENDA:

Day One Sessions 10:30 am - 5:00 pm est.

10:30 am: Networking sponsored by Book Depot

11:00 am: Book Bank Operations: Gain insights into the inner workings of a small, medium, and large book bank. Follow a book's journey from donation to sorting, all the way to being packed and ready for delivery.

12:00 pm: Volunteers: Learn effective methods for engaging and managing volunteers, including strategies for building corporate partnerships and showing appreciation for your volunteers' hard work.

1:00 pm: Marketing: Award-winning public relations and marketing communications specialist, Sherry Goldman, discusses marketing ideas that are actionable and easy to implement with limited time and money.

2:00 pm: First Book/Diverse Books For All: Learn how First Book supports nonprofits in their communities and how our members can work collaboratively to leverage our purchasing impact.

2:30 pm: BREAK

3:00 pm: Impact: Learn how to effectively measure and communicate the success of your book distribution programs.

4:00 pm: Fundraising: Explore diverse fundraising approaches and how to implement them in your nonprofit. Examples will cover Madison Reading Project’s Fashion Show, Book Fairies Readathon, and Books Between Kids Bingo and Gala events.


Day Two Sessions: 10:30 am - 2:00 pm est.

10:30 am: Networking sponsored by Book Depot

11:00 am: Book Purchasing and Acquisition: Learn about sourcing physical and digital books, including choosing suppliers and balancing costs and benefits.

12:00 pm: Community Partnerships: Learn effective strategies for establishing and managing community partnerships for book distribution.

1:00 pm: Game Changers and Pain Points: Uncover the Game-Changers and Pain Points faced by fellow nonprofits when scaling their book distribution efforts to the next level.
