Building a NETWORK of BOOK PROVIDERS

The Book Access Network is an emerging national membership organization dedicated to advancing the work of organizations that distribute gift books. We provide a supportive network for nonprofits primarily across the United States and will regularly convene our members to advance the research and practice of book distribution. Our goals are to share best practices, provide community, celebrate successes, put research into action, and work tirelessly and consistently to provide book access as a vital component of equity and opportunity for all.

Strategic COLLABORATION

In order to expand the reach and impact of our respective missions, we will formalize a network that shares our passion and commitment to providing access to books for underserved populations.

Resource
SHARING

We will provide opportunities and information and support to existing organizations that distribute books for free to underserved populations to help increase their capacity and quality of operation.

Professional DEVELOPMENT

We also offer workshops and conferences for members to participate in this work, improve their performance as leadership, staff, donor, and/or volunteer, and potentially start their own organizations.

The National Book Access Association is a Sponsored Program of First Book. Founded in Washington, D.C. in 1992, First Book is an award-winning nonprofit social enterprise dedicated to eliminating barriers to learning and inspiring young minds.
